As an international tourism assistant and commercial assistant for foreign languages, Katja Horstmann worked for several years on board cruise ships and for various tour operators, including Sea Cloud Cruises and the Trans-Siberian Railway. She has many years of experience as an assistant in the International Relations department at the employers' association Gesamtmetall.
